    Default "Antique" Silver Tea-spoon

    Help: Can anybody give me any information on this tea-spoon. Believe it was awarded on shooting range. Has the following inscribed on the back
    of the stem of the tea-spoon : R.B.-E.P.N.S. Thanks Dan

    E.P.N.S. is electro plated nickel silver which means it is not solid silver but plated.
    Not much value --maybe R25-R30.. One also must examine whether the silver has rubbed off and that the brass is not showing through.
    If this spoon was military related or a Union Castle spoon as an example it would have more collectors value

    Default Bisley spoon

    Hi, This is a Bisley Shooting competition spoon .These spoons were awarded as prizes in Military style shooting competions. From the shape this spoon dates from about 1940-1955. These spoons were nearly always silver plated. It is worth about R50-R80 . They are not very rare. The rare ones are the ones dated/engraved before 1939.
