    Question Japanese Tea Set ...info please

    I am trying to find out more on a japanese porcelain tea set I have - the set is hand painted and the cups are paper thin - there is a marking but i have no idea what it is. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated

    I dont think this is worth any more than R500 to R750. Many were made and are quite modern. !940's onwards.
    Some of these cups have madame butterfly at the bottom of the cup. This can be seen if you hold the cup up to the light.
    You could probably get a bit more if the cups have this feature.

    Thanks so much for the info ....you replied before I even had a chance to PM you like Lily suggested Unfortunately no MB at the bottom - now I must decide whether to list or not....they are really fragile
