Sorry guys - the previous reply was for you Len.

I was brand new to BoB, trusted everyone and anyone and got charmed. At this stage and as far as I know the fakes were from 1 seller only - bought quite a few from that source Follow my eyes and check on my ratings. Legal action? I don't think so, I've lost enough and even if I am successful, will I get my money back - I wonder.

What however tickles me pink is that it seems that these scams are just going on and on
and that a new fool (just like me) is caught every day. Don't they read anything? But then I also counted on the integrity of a seller with that many positive ratings (follow my eyes again to the Claerhouts now up for sale)

So ja guys I love art and I will keep on supporting our artists. But Claerhout never again I even hate those bloody "gebreklike" donkeys - jeeze they do look stupid.

Don't blame em brittle-boned donkeys!!!! They nowadays only reflect the "zealous for" collecting plastic-bones buyers!

Don't hurt the Pestilence carriers! Curb em sellers thereof!

not sure what you mean but you take the prize for locking threads. that must be some kind of record.
i cant remember when the last time was that i laughed so much.

staying on topic - some uncharacteristic errors in these signatures. i searched the archives and found quite
a few errors. i must say that the archive system on bob is excellent. big brother sees and records all!

Doesn't cost a cent to lay *criminal* charges.... I can see how you might be philosophical about the money but if you care for art you should take the time to lay the charges...

It's because we are often too lazy to go to the trouble of reporting untoward (criminal) actions to SAPS - yes it does take time and trouble - that crime is perpetuated. Think about it - if each one of us who had a handbag, cellphone or something else snatched in the street were to report it, then the government wouldn't be able to report "reduced" crime statistics!! It's because of our inertia that SAPS behave so indifferently when we do go in to report something. Let's all acknowledge our small responsibility to help make the changes in attitude and complain when we have to.

It seems that many threads relating to this topic are dropping like flies, I wonder if the reason is solely because of duplicated threads or is something more sinister at work............

Hi all

My advice to Koos was pretty much the same - firstly to change the ratings to negative. HOWEVER! The negative rating that I gave to ChrizHan for the fake that I bought from her was deleted. This a fake that was painted on Dala artist's canvas (Not imported while Claerhout was alive) Well, then perhaps that advise was silly.

Many wonderful people like Koos who have been caught by these fraudsters and they feel hard done by - particularly since these people are still selling their "Claerhouts" on BoB. Very sad situation.
