Im originally from Kimberley, but i love the city life and the beach.

Maybe i will pop around there one day with my metal detector, i am always treasure hunting

i'm on wireless. Hennie is from Kimberley - he left there about 11 years ago. We are about 40 km's inland, but if you do come this way with a metal detector don't dare not pick me up - if I could afford one I'd be out and about every day.

No it's not unbearable hot here - always a breeze in the Cape. Where are you?

Im in Durban at the moment but i miss KBY. i normally go down there twice a year, my mother still lives there.
I will def come around there my friend and soon.
Dont worry i have 2 detectors you can use the other one, we split the profits 50/50 ne?

Mellow Red I believe that Napier has the most beautiful church according the family that visited over the weekend. I have always travelled down to Cape Town and wondered what happens at Napier to in a rush to get to my destination or in a rush to get back.
So one year when or rather we have ample time we want to pop in to Napier to see this church.

Hi Gogga, the village would not exist if it were not for the church. And it is a beauty.

Napier has peculiar origins! It was founded in 1838 when Michiel van Breda and Pieter van der Byl could not agree where the church should be built - with the result the dispute was resolved by the building of two churches which then founded the neighboring settlements of Bredasdorp and Napier, the latter being named after Sir George Napier, the British governor of the Cape Province at that time. Oddly enough, Napier's church became one of only two South African churches located next door to the hotel, the village source of the demon drink!
