Rag, nobody who works as hard and as efficiently as you do, deserves to have this happen. But that same ethic will see you through, don't lose hope.
Commit random kindnesses and senseless acts of beauty.

Oh dear, Richard. MrA and I are so sorry to hear about this hiccup in the new year. Hope that the remainder of 2012 is happy and successful for RAG Auctioneers!

Thanks for all the comments and words of encouragement! I have been reading them throughout the day.
Too many of you to mention.

We do not have insurance, but we do pay a security company (SSG tactical) who never checked the premises when the alarm went off!
We eventually got a phone call at 2:30, but from what we saw today, the guys were in there for at least an hour or more.
Went through every cupboard, drawer and box. They even opened up parcels, and totally destroyed the alarm system.

After fixing everything up today, checking the stock, and getting ourselves in order again, it seems like the losses will be manageable.
We found our PCs, one of the cameras, and a pram (stock item) in the garden hidden in the bushes.
My favorite camera, another pram, the cash box, and a dozen or so high valued small items were taken.

    Thanks again!
    Richard.
    Hi

Hope you guys have made progress.

Last night I said a fond farewell to my laptop, charger, spare phone, 3g card etc..............
The electronic locking system in my car was no challenge to the person whose life is incomplete
without my laptop. Not any laptop - my laptop. By all accounts he must be commended for the speed and stealth displayed for
    the task at hand.
THIS IS THE THIRD LAPTOP that has gone west. The fun went south the first time.

People like my stuff. They carry it away whenever the opportunity presents itself. Usually without
permission. They have always shown an interest in my families stuff which continually needs replacing.
They steal the paint off the walls at our businesses.

Amid all of this I am the most positive person i know. Norman Vincent Peale, Dale Carnegie et. al would
weep at the example i have set for myself and those around me. And yet when it comes to losing those
items you bought, received as gifts or are vital to your daily operations I find it increasingly more difficult
to sustain a positive attitude. I wonder if my last breath will get stolen as well.

It does not help Miems to get angry about this. These people simply do not care for the inconviences they cause it is just their right as usual.
