Default Do you love where you live and why?

We've come up with several reasons why we love where the new house is located, but one of the better reasons is that there are benefits of having the Training Flight Academy (TFASA) a block away - the "free" aerobatics show... There are several flights in and out all day (every day) but every now and then there are pilots who "play around"... I'm listening to the one doing fly-pasts, barrel rolls and stalling manouvres (straight up, "stall", and fall before going into a loop).

    Other reasons include:
You just need look in any direction and you'll get a glimpse of mountains (and wonderful clouds).
Everything is so close by... One of the pubs is a two minute drive as is the major shopping centre, the post office is about another 2 minutes past that, and if we take the "back road", then the Cango Wildlife Ranch is a 5 minute drive from the house. (If I wanted to go to town in PE, then it would easily be a 30 minute drive - now if we drive 30 minutes from the house we're either halfway to George, Calitzdorp, the caves or in De Rust!)

    We love our new house...

I love where I live because this is where all our 3 boys grew up.
It is a house full of memories, mostly of them and their friends who were always in and out.
If Hubby or I are looking for something we will still say it is in Mark's room or Pauls's room or Jeremy's room.
I think it is hard to leave a house that has so many good memories and it is still a home for the boys to visit when they are here from the UK.
I also love it because it is big enough to store all my Bob stock. Guess I will have to stay here while I still trade on Bob.

So pleased to hear you are settled Cali and have made a good move.

I love where we live in the City of Saints but it has a drawback - too far from our sons and their families!

It is convenient where I live at the moment close to Green Acres. I was raised in the Eastern Cape. So I have to live with the continuously changing weather pattern for now. Who knows when I grow my fairy wings again I might just fly to Cananda. :)

I love the place where I live - the green willow trees an the banks of the Mooi river, the oak trees in the old Tom Street.......

With the exception of having no electricity for a day and a half (thanks Eskom), we still love it here!

Went to Mossel Bay via the Robinsons' Pass yesterday then came back via George and the Outeniqua Pass. This morning went to the Cango Wildlife Ranch (5 minutes drive from our house) to pass some time until the electricity came back on.

Yesterday and today is exceptionally hot, but the wind (!) has come up within the past hour and the sand storms are starting in the farmlands.

Another thing we find so weird is seeing sheep grazing on the schools' sports field, horse stables between our place and town, and fields of mielies, veggies, etc - you don't have to be in the rural areas to see "farm life"! LOL
