This is a message which a friend passed on to me ...


"Wow, what a great time in our history to be alive on Planet Earth! Recently I saw a photo of a puppy leaping joyously through a field. The caption read “Live as if someone left the gate open".

Well, I feel as if the dawning of 2012 coincided with someone opening that gate. I am sensing such an amazing opportunity right now, and such a huge urgency, to run forward through that gate and realise my own freedom.

For me, this freedom embraces the opportunity to forget about what others think, demand and expect of me. It means “finding my braveness” as my son says, and just doing what makes my heart sing. For you, freedom may come in another shape and colour. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that you embrace it, express it, own it, be it. But that sounds so selfish! Yip.

Until you realise that the freedom to be the best that you can be, and to express your own uniqueness, is the greatest responsibility we face in our human experience. It means being totally authentic, on every level. It means that our integrity must be in alignment on every level – be it business, personal, spiritual, social. We cannot hide behind the excuse that this is the way business operates, or this is how our family is. “When in Rome” is no longer a valid excuse. When in Rome we must find the courage and the faith to hold onto our own integrity. Faith is a huge word. Finding and expressing your own joy and living an authentic life is both a responsibility and a privilege. When you are sad, you are not sad in isolation. When you are joyous, you are not joyous alone. When you are healed, you heal those you love. The responsibility to let go of our past fears is huge; 2012 is truly the dawning of a new beginning, when each day is a brand new start.

This year of 2012 is pivotal in the history of the planet and this is reflected in the lives of so many of us. Last year’s challenges are this year’s victories. We are not victorious over each other. We are victorious over all the fears which held us back, blocked us, choked us. We have walked through fire. Now it is time to keep the Faith. ♥
