We could look at something like that, but you can already do an Advanced Search for specific sellers and only view their items, without having to worry about other local or overseas sellers:
Search for bidorbuy.co.za Sellers Kind regards Cuan

If you could consider it, I think it will help alot. As for searching, you need to know the seller and what you are looking for, most of the time I just browse through everyones listings.

Ok so this might be really considered as thinking out the box. But what if bob had a online valuater. with much knowledge of art and antiques, and maybe where the user pays a small fee to bob or the valuater in order to have the items valuated. I think if word got around many new users will join just to have their items valuated, and if they do wish to sell they could be encourage to list it on bob.

1. A sellers own "blacklisting" list that warns us when a specific buyer is bidding on our items.
We can add and delete names form this list. Not cool when the same buyer does his same little trick on you - doesnt bother paying, or gives you trouble and pays a month later. When auctioning 150 items at one time, it is IMPOSSIBLE to see every user that is bidding on our items. |

I am not sure if that would work,as I had a new buyer who purchased some items, and when taking down the address noticed it was very familiar(you know when an adress jumps at you, because it is unusual).Upon checking, found that same buyer bought goods from me awhile back but under a different name,so who is to say that the problem buyers wont create multiple accounts,so it makes it impossible to cross reference them.but nonetheless at least your suggestion would root out the obvious timewasters

DreamBeadz: True, but we still have the same guys that bid on our stuff and never bother to pay. It may at least eliminate half of them or at least convince the non-payers to pay, or else they go on the "RAG Auctioneers blacklist". Sounds scary to me ;-)
2. Integrate different emails - one where buyers can contact you, and another where BOB can contact you. Sometimes important BOB emails get caught amongst millions of buyers emails. 3. An option to enable or disable emails from BOB with regards to ratings. |
