  • Pole Position!

The first Grand Prix race of the season took place in Bahrain this past weekend and what a cracker it was. The return of former world champion Michael Schumacher to the sport after three years had all F1 fans excited. That is not the only interesting thing about the season; the new alliances formed as have also added spice to the season as well. Current world champion Jenson Button joins compatriot Lewis Hamilton, another British world champion, at McLaren and former world champion Fernando Alonso joined forces with Felipe Massa of Ferrari, who is back after a life-threatening crash last season. This meant that there were four world champions that started the Grand Prix in Bahrain this past Sunday.

It was a bit of a surprise though that none of the champions were on pole position as this spot was taken by Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel, last season’s championship runner up. Unfortunately for Vettel, who after leading for so long in the race ended up in fourth place due to some technical issues with his race car. It was to be a one-two finish for Ferrari, with Alonso coming in first and Massa second. Hamilton came in third, with team mate Button finishing in seventh behind Schumi who finished in sixth place.

It is set up for quite an exciting season. Fast cars and great drivers!! How do you think you would fare in one of these powerful cars? I would love to try it myself. You can find a few offers to drive a race car here on bidorbuy. It is no doubt a thrilling experience and would be worth one’s while.

Who do you think will win the season?

The beak thinks (note only "thinks") it might be Alonso! Or perhaps Schumacher will make a great comeback? Interesting stuff ahead ... ;)
Yesterday I was clever and wanted to change the world.
Today I am wise and am changing myself.
