Has anybody bought an Adobe Photoshop on bidorbuy and the serial number does not work? Please let me know. I contacted Adobe and they told me serial number does not exist on their database.

Hi vegsa and welcome to the forum:D
Looks like you've maybe been conned -We need a little more details, but obviously first thing we can conclude is the serial number isn't working:;)
1 Or it was written down wrongly in any form paper, media such as doc, through e-mail ect
2 Either old license one that expired - this was looked up and doesn't exist in the database. But
don't know if expired one will show up or not - but doesn't matter.
3 So that means it's probably a key-gen or something like patching a few files and using that as the serial key.

How does the DVD cover look, can you see quality wise if it's done good? Also does the whole label match 100% when compared to original PS Discs?

Please post a link to the product in question. So further info can be made available.
I just though now - I'm writing this section as if you already bought it (having the serial key already) or maybe it was in the listing (which is really a risk for the seller if that is the case). So just provide more info and the situation get links.
Let me know and maybe i can be of assistance;)

Applications - Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended Complete package Full english retail version. was sold for R2,500.00 on 15 Apr at 23:30 by Neux in Johannesburg

      Hi

That is the link. I bought it last year. Only opened it recently. The box looks like it is origional. Came sealed. When I opened it, it had the serial key at the back of the dvd box. Everything seemed fine. It will accept the code on installation but the first time you try to use it, it will request the key again. Offers you a thirty day trial period only or insert key. Does not accept the key in that window.

Have you contacted the seller to find out what their take is on the issue?

My experience with this seller was excellent, and given a rating of close to 100% with nearly 9000 sales, so have most other buyer's experiences been good.

Suggest you try the seller as a first call

Could be a pirated key glued. Try and do some research or get a keygen

What sometimes happen is if you have a trial downloaded photoshop version on your PC and you try and use a CD version it does not work, try to uninstall any other version and reinstall. It happened to me when I bought my first photshop version. WHen I contacted the adobe people they also told me my version's key number does not exist. Hope it helps

Thanks for the advise. No, I did not have any trial version. I did uninstall this version of the cd and reinstalled but still it did not accept the key. Besides, I was in contact with Adobe and gave them the key and they say that it does not exist on their database. Suspect someone may have downloaded the trial version, made a cd, box, the works, had it sealed and sold it.
Neux sold quite a few of these during that period. Would like to know if anybody else is having the same problem. Please let me know. I bought two copies and both don't work. Also have a sealed Dreamweaver. Anybody interested:) Will make a reasonable price:)

ok first try to contact the seller and Adobe

now disable your anti virus when inputing the serial make sure adobe servers are not blocked

or locate HOSTS file' search google to find out'

and see if activate.adobe.com is there if it is remove it

make sure you never run any pirated programs

                          if all else fails

go to the HOSTs file and add 127.0.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com

you might not receive updates by doing this
