  • Are there success fees on a Buy Now property sale

If I list a property under a Buy Now do I have to pay a success fee.

    Listing Fees Rate Card
Sellers need to pay a fee for each item that they list in certain categories, even if the item does not result in a sale.

    PropertyR100.00 No Success Fee Charged
and then this for Buy Now listings

    Buy Now Items

    Examples:

R500,000.01 No Limit R13,027.50 + 1% of the Winning Bid Amount over R500,000.00
I would not like to be hit with a R15,000 success fee through a stupid mistake :o
    Items I have for sale.

Why do today what you can put off till next year?

I suppose that BoB does take fees on property sales - after all, Estate Agents do! And Estate Agents certainly charge a whole lot more than 1% on a property sale. :(
Yesterday I was clever and wanted to change the world.
Today I am wise and am changing myself.

        Hi Freesia

Thanks for the link. Have read through the thread, and the impression I get is that success fees are charged. But it is pretty old (2007) so I am still not 100% sure.

I did have to pay a R100 listing fee (no special listings included), and if I do a "copy or relist" is states "no success fee will be charged on this item".

I hope someone on BoB admin can confirm as I have my Dad's and my property up.

I can confirm - no success fee will be charged, only a listing fee of R100.

          Kind regards
