  • 3 - 1983 SWA FDC’s which were classed as “colour varieties”!

I was browsing through the Philatelic section of the Wednesday Crazy Auction last night and noticed a set of three 1983 SWA FDC’s on sale which were classed as “colour varieties”, on examination of the FDC’s scan I noticed that the stamps on the colour variety covers appeared faded as well!

From my past experience of Philately two of these covers could have been faded in sunlight hence the fading of the stamps as well.

    What do the experts think?
My age is but an irrelevant number !
    Items I am selling.

If all the colours appear to be present but faded, your past experience is probably spot on! If most colours are present and bright, and one colour is clearly missing, sunlight fading is not the likely cause.
