  • Changes to the Rating Stars???

    Hi BoB team

I love the new look for the website with the changes to the icons, it gives a fun feel to the site.

I have noticed that the stars have changed as well and would like to know how the stars are now determined?

It appears that 1000 rating gets a big gold star and then the stars stay the same for a very long time and then only the small yellow stars kick in.

What are the new intervals between the star levels?

0 - 999 ratings goes through all the little yellow stars.
1000 ratings gives you a big orange star.
From then on, every 5000 ratings givers you a big orange star with an extra little star (ie: 5000, 10000, 15000, 20000).

Thats what I got out of my investigation. :-)

        Question

Still does not clarify everything for me.

        Just to confirm:

for every positive rating you get 1 point?
for every negative rating you are deducted a point?

Math: 63 positives and 1 negative = 62 with two stars?

The question here is to do you get a point for each purchase/sale that results in a positive rating and vice verca for negative?

Yes, that is the way it seems to work! :)

              Thanx qball,

that explains the star system (no pun intended :))

Now the question I am actually getting to :

I have bought/sold 64 items on bob. Only 1 revenge negative rating yet my score reflects 54.

Is there a reason why there is 10 points missing? Just interested to know.

                Hi

It doesn't work on points. You have a total of 55 positive ratings, not 64. In total you have concluded 62 transactions, you have received 55 positive ratings and 1 negative, so your overall percentage score is affected by the 1 negative, making you overall positive rating score 98.21%. It is a shown as a percentage. You have not been rated on all your transactions. You've been rated on 56 transactions out of 62.

As you fall into the 50-99 rating range you will only have 2 stars.

                Hope this explains it.

                Kind regards
                Cuan
