Fragile items - who to use

This is not a direct BoB question, but will be of common interest to people on this forum. A friend of mine wants to transport a model sailing ship from Cape Town to Johannesburg. It needs to be crated and delivered. Who is best to use, bearing in mind the cost.

My suggestion - get hold of a reputable furniture removal company as opposed to a courier service. Furniture removal companies are used to moving heavy and light, delicate and strong items. We had a glass diningroom suite delivered to us intact, well packed, from Johannesburg a few years back. Wouldn't have trusted a courier company to do the transport, that I can tell you!
